Welcome to Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. Upon arrival at Chinggis Khaan International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, enjoy some free time to relax and prepare for your upcoming horse trekking adventure.

After breakfast, we will drive to the Bayan Gobi Sand Dunes, a beautiful landscape where golden sand dunes meet the surrounding Mongolian steppe. Upon arrival, we will explore the dunes and enjoy a memorable camel-riding experience across the sandy landscape. Take time to walk among the dunes, enjoy the scenery, and experience the unique combination of desert and steppe landscapes.

After breakfast, we will continue our journey toward the spectacular Orkhon Valley, one of Mongolia’s most important cultural and natural landscapes. Along the way, we will visit a traditional yak-breeding family and experience their daily nomadic lifestyle. Guests can learn about yak herding, taste traditional dairy products, and experience the warm hospitality of a Mongolian family. In the afternoon, we will prepare for our upcoming horseback trekking adventure through the Orkhon Valley.

After breakfast, we will begin our horseback riding adventure, riding approximately 10 km through the beautiful landscapes of the Orkhon Valley. Our route will take us toward the spectacular Orkhon Waterfall and peaceful Khuis Lake, passing through open grasslands, rolling hills, and scenic valleys. Enjoy the freedom of traveling through the Mongolian countryside on horseback, with opportunities to photograph the surrounding landscapes and observe wildlife along the way.

Today, we will continue our horse trek toward Shireet Lake, riding approximately 12 km through the scenic mountain and steppe landscapes. The trail takes us through peaceful valleys and rolling terrain, offering beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. With luck, we may see birds of prey, marmots, red deer, and other wildlife along the route. Upon reaching Shireet Lake, we will enjoy the peaceful surroundings and spend the evening close to nature.

Today will be one of the most adventurous days of our horse trekking journey. We will ride through the remote wilderness toward Bugat and Khaliun Lakes, continuing through the beautiful Buureg Valley before reaching Shavart Lake. The route takes us through open valleys, mountain landscapes, and peaceful wilderness far from the crowds. Keep an eye on the surrounding mountains and skies, as golden eagles and other birds of prey may be seen soaring overhead, while wildlife such as marmots, red deer, and other animals may appear along the trail. In the evening, we will relax beside Shavart Lake and enjoy the tranquility of the Mongolian wilderness.

After breakfast, we will leave the trekking area and travel to Karakorum, the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire. We will explore the Karakorum Museum and visit Erdene Zuu Buddhist Monastery, one of Mongolia’s most important historical and religious sites. Learn about the history of the Mongol Empire and Mongolia’s Buddhist heritage while exploring the monastery complex.

After breakfast, we will drive back to Ulaanbaatar, traveling through the vast landscapes of Central Mongolia. Upon arrival, we will check in to our hotel and have free time to relax, explore the city, or do some souvenir shopping after our horse trekking adventure.

You will stay in a good 4-star hotel in Ulaanbaatar. An upgrade is possible on request!
During the excursion in the countryside, you will stay in a Tourist Ger camp, which is a kind of hotel that serves customers with a ger (yurt) instead of a hotel room and is always located at the best viewing spot. It is the most popular accommodation type for a countryside trip in Mongolia and consists of 30–40 yurts, a restaurant and facilities. Most visitors are happy to stay in a ger, which provides an authentic taste of Mongolian culture and adventure, their most enjoyable experience in Mongolia.
During your trip in Mongolia, you will be served mainly European dishes and sometimes authentic Mongolian foods. Lunch and dinner consist of 3–4 courses (soup and/or salad, main course, dessert) and bottled water.
If you require special meals due to religious or medical limitations, or vegetarian food, please inform us so that arrangements can be made in advance.
Car: A good car is an important part of your comfortable trip in Mongolia. There will be a good 4×4 car for this trip based on the number of people in your group.
Road: The asphalted roads are 40% and the unpaved roads are 60%.
During the trip, it takes approximately 2–6 hours of driving (80–280 km) from one destination to the next, depending on road and weather conditions on each driving day. This is not a nonstop drive! We can take frequent short stops along the road for photographs, toilets, stretching and meeting local nomads.

Hiking boots and sandals, waterproof jacket, raincoat, umbrella, sunglasses, hat, comfortable shoes, insect repellent, sunscreen and prescription medication (if required).
Gear: Camera, binoculars, flashlight and travel lamp. Some Tourist camps do not have 24-hour electricity. It is therefore recommended to bring your own travel lamp!
