Welcome to Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. Upon arrival at Chinggis Khaan International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, enjoy some free time to relax and prepare for your upcoming horse-trekking adventure.

After breakfast, we will drive to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, one of Mongolia’s most beautiful mountain and forest regions. We will visit the impressive Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex, followed by Turtle Rock, one of the park’s most iconic natural formations. We will then hike to the peaceful Aryabal Meditation Temple, surrounded by pine forests and spectacular mountain scenery. In the evening, we will prepare our horses and equipment for the adventure into the remote wilderness.

After breakfast, we will begin our horse-trekking adventure into the remote pine taiga.
We will cross Berkh Hill and the Tuul River, continuing toward Khulur Hill through tranquil pine forests, mountain valleys, and open grasslands.
As we ride deeper into the wilderness, keep an eye on the skies and surrounding forests. Golden eagles may be seen soaring overhead, while red deer and moose can sometimes be spotted along the route. With luck, we may also discover signs of grey wolves or brown bears.

Today, we will continue our horseback journey over Khulur Hill toward the spectacular Khagiin Khar Lake. Following remote forest trails and mountain paths, we will gradually reach the pristine lake, surrounded by dense pine forests and rugged peaks.
The journey offers a true wilderness experience, with the peaceful sounds of nature, fresh mountain air, and opportunities to observe wildlife along the way. Upon arrival, we will set up camp and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Khagiin Khar Lake.

Today, we will spend a full day exploring the peaceful surroundings of Khagiin Khar Lake.
Enjoy a relaxed horseback ride along the lakeshore and through the surrounding pine forest, or take a hike to explore the nearby mountains and valleys. For adventurous trekkers, there will be an opportunity to climb one of the surrounding peaks. The ascent offers a rewarding challenge and spectacular panoramic views across the endless pine-covered taiga.
Take time to enjoy the pristine wilderness, photograph the scenery, and experience the tranquility of this remote mountain lake.

After breakfast, we will begin our return journey on horseback, following the forest trails back toward Berkh Hill. We will continue to the Tuul River, where our vehicle will meet us for the drive back to Ulaanbaatar. After several days immersed in the peaceful pine taiga, enjoy a comfortable evening and a well-earned rest at your hotel.

Today, we will explore the cultural highlights of Ulaanbaatar.
We will visit Zaisan Hill for panoramic views of the capital and the surrounding Tuul River valley, followed by the Winter Palace of Bogd Khaan, one of Mongolia’s most important historical sites. There will also be time to explore the State Department Store and shop for traditional souvenirs and local products. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Mongolian folklore performance, featuring music, singing, dancing, contortion, and throat singing.

You will stay in a good 4-star hotel in Ulaanbaatar. An upgrade is possible on request!
During the excursion in the countryside, you will stay in a Tourist Ger camp, which is a kind of hotel that serves customers with a ger (yurt) instead of a hotel room and is always located at the best viewing spot. It is the most popular accommodation type for a countryside trip in Mongolia and consists of 30–40 yurts, a restaurant and facilities. Most visitors are happy to stay in a ger, which provides an authentic taste of Mongolian culture and adventure, their most enjoyable experience in Mongolia.
During your trip in Mongolia, you will be served mainly European dishes and sometimes authentic Mongolian foods. Lunch and dinner consist of 3–4 courses (soup and/or salad, main course, dessert) and bottled water.
If you require special meals due to religious or medical limitations, or vegetarian food, please inform us so that arrangements can be made in advance.
Car: A good car is an important part of your comfortable trip in Mongolia. There will be a good 4×4 car for this trip based on the number of people in your group.
Road: The asphalted roads are 40% and the unpaved roads are 60%.
During the trip, it takes approximately 2–6 hours of driving (80–280 km) from one destination to the next, depending on road and weather conditions on each driving day. This is not a nonstop drive! We can take frequent short stops along the road for photographs, toilets, stretching and meeting local nomads.

Hiking boots and sandals, waterproof jacket, raincoat, umbrella, sunglasses, hat, comfortable shoes, insect repellent, sunscreen and prescription medication (if required).
Gear: Camera, binoculars, flashlight and travel lamp. Some Tourist camps do not have 24-hour electricity. It is therefore recommended to bring your own travel lamp!
