Welcome to Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. Upon arrival at Chinggis Khaan International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel.
After check-in, enjoy some free time to relax and prepare for your upcoming journey to northern Mongolia.

After breakfast, we will begin our city tour with a visit to Sukhbaatar Square, the central square of Ulaanbaatar and an important landmark of Mongolia. We will then visit the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, where guests can learn about Mongolia’s history, culture, and the legacy of the Mongol Empire. In the afternoon, we will transfer to the airport for our flight to Murun, the capital of Khuvsgul Province. Upon arrival, we will transfer to our hotel and relax.

After breakfast, we will drive toward Tsagaannuur Village, the gateway to the remote northern taiga and the homeland of the Tsaatan people. Upon arrival, we will explore Tsagaannuur Lake and enjoy the peaceful scenery of surrounding forests, mountains, and open valleys. We will also meet our local team and prepare the horses and equipment for the upcoming trek.

Today, our horseback adventure begins as we ride toward the Tsaatan (Dukha) reindeer herders.
We will travel through beautiful forest trails, mountain valleys, and remote wilderness. The riding pace can be adapted to the group, making the experience suitable for both beginners and experienced riders.
Upon reaching the Tsaatan community, we will meet the reindeer herders and experience their unique way of life in the northern taiga.

Today, we will spend a full day with the Tsaatan reindeer herding families, experiencing their traditional lifestyle and learning about their close relationship with reindeer.
Guests can meet the families, observe their daily activities, interact with the reindeer, and learn about their unique culture and traditions. There will also be time to explore the surrounding taiga and enjoy the peaceful wilderness.

After breakfast, we will begin our horseback journey back toward Tsagaannuur Village.
Following forest trails and mountain valleys, we will enjoy the spectacular scenery and peaceful atmosphere of the northern taiga. Along the way, there may be opportunities to observe local wildlife and birds. Upon arrival in Tsagaannuur Village, we will have time to rest and relax after our horse trek.

After breakfast, we will drive toward Murun, stopping at the Uushig Deer Stone Monument, an important archaeological site featuring ancient stone monuments decorated with distinctive deer carvings. We will learn about the history and cultural significance of these ancient monuments before continuing to Murun Airport for our flight to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar, we will transfer to our hotel and enjoy a relaxing final evening.

You will stay in a good 4-star hotel in Ulaanbaatar. An upgrade is possible on request!
During the excursion in the countryside, you will stay in a Tourist Ger camp, which is a kind of hotel that serves customers with a ger (yurt) instead of a hotel room and is always located at the best viewing spot. It is the most popular accommodation type for a countryside trip in Mongolia and consists of 30–40 yurts, a restaurant and facilities. Most visitors are happy to stay in a ger, which provides an authentic taste of Mongolian culture and adventure, their most enjoyable experience in Mongolia.
During your trip in Mongolia, you will be served mainly European dishes and sometimes authentic Mongolian foods. Lunch and dinner consist of 3–4 courses (soup and/or salad, main course, dessert) and bottled water.
If you require special meals due to religious or medical limitations, or vegetarian food, please inform us so that arrangements can be made in advance.
Car: A good car is an important part of your comfortable trip in Mongolia. There will be a good 4×4 car for this trip based on the number of people in your group.
Road: The asphalted roads are 40% and the unpaved roads are 60%.
During the trip, it takes approximately 2–6 hours of driving (80–280 km) from one destination to the next, depending on road and weather conditions on each driving day. This is not a nonstop drive! We can take frequent short stops along the road for photographs, toilets, stretching and meeting local nomads.

Hiking boots and sandals, waterproof jacket, raincoat, umbrella, sunglasses, hat, comfortable shoes, insect repellent, sunscreen and prescription medication (if required).
Gear: Camera, binoculars, flashlight and travel lamp. Some Tourist camps do not have 24-hour electricity. It is therefore recommended to bring your own travel lamp!
